Terms of Service

Rules for using Plethora's Email Solution, including subscriptions, credentials, acceptable use, and service limitations.

Effective and last updated: September 4, 2026

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms of Service (the Terms) are an agreement between you and Plethora Solutions, LLC (Plethora Solutions, we, us, or our) governing your access to Plethora's Email Solution, including its API, account pages, subscription, and related support (the Service).

By purchasing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you may bind that organization.

2. What the Service does

The Service evaluates email-address syntax and domain-level signals such as MX records, disposable-domain indicators, and common role-address patterns. Results are informational signals, not guarantees.

A result does not establish that a mailbox exists, is monitored, will accept or deliver a message, belongs to a particular person, or may lawfully be contacted. You are responsible for deciding how to use each result.

3. Your responsibilities and acceptable use

You may submit only data you are legally permitted to process and must use the Service in compliance with privacy, consumer-protection, marketing, and other applicable laws. You are responsible for obtaining any required notice, consent, or other lawful basis.

You may not use the Service to:

  • send or facilitate spam, phishing, fraud, harassment, malware, or deceptive messages;
  • build or enrich unlawfully obtained lists, evade opt-outs, or contact people without required permission;
  • probe, enumerate, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass security, quotas, or access controls;
  • make decisions about employment, credit, housing, insurance, health care, or other high-impact matters about a person;
  • violate another person's privacy, intellectual-property, contractual, or other rights; or
  • resell, sublicense, or provide the Service as a bureau without our written permission.

4. API credentials and accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding your API key and recovery code and for all activity under your credentials. You may share a key only with authorized members of your organization who are bound to protect it. Notify us promptly if a credential may be compromised and rotate it through the customer account page.

Credentials remain our access mechanism and may be revoked or replaced to protect the Service, you, or others. You may not sell, publish, or transfer credentials.

5. Subscriptions, quotas, and renewal

Paid plans, prices, included monthly verification volume, billing frequency, and applicable taxes are shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same billing period until canceled. Stripe processes payments on our behalf.

Each completed single verification or batch item counts against the plan's current-period quota. Unused quota does not roll over. Published rate limits and reasonable technical controls also apply. We may reject traffic that exceeds a limit or threatens the Service.

We may change a plan or price prospectively. For an existing paid subscription, we will provide notice when required and apply a price change no earlier than a future renewal.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel through the Stripe customer portal linked from the account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period unless Stripe states otherwise. Except where required by law or expressly stated at checkout, fees already paid are nonrefundable and we do not provide prorated refunds or credits for unused quota.

7. Ownership and feedback

We and our licensors retain all rights in the Service, its software, design, documentation, and branding. Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable right to use the Service for your internal business purposes.

You retain rights in data you submit. You give us the limited rights needed to process that data to provide, secure, and support the Service. If you provide feedback, we may use it without restriction or compensation.

8. Privacy and security

Our Privacy Notice explains our data practices. You must use reasonable security measures in your own systems. No security control is perfect, and you use the Internet and the Service at your own risk.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a security risk, unlawful or abusive conduct, nonpayment, a material breach, or harm to the Service or another person. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to cure. You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time.

10. Service changes and availability

We may maintain, improve, or modify the Service. We do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability. Beta, test, or sandbox features may be changed or withdrawn at any time and must not be used for production decisions.

11. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND ALL RESULTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." WE DISCLAIM ALL EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND DELIVERABILITY.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER PLETHORA SOLUTIONS NOR ITS OWNERS, CONTRACTORS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. These limits do not apply where applicable law does not permit them.

13. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify Plethora Solutions from claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your submitted data, your use of results, your violation of law or these Terms, or infringement of another person's rights.

14. Governing law and disputes

Wisconsin law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, each party will give the other written notice and try in good faith for 30 days to resolve the dispute informally. Subject to applicable law, disputes that are not resolved will be brought in a state or federal court located in Wisconsin.

15. General terms

These Terms and the Privacy Notice are the entire agreement about the Service unless we sign a separate agreement. If one provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them with the Service or our business.

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and changing the effective date. Material changes apply prospectively, with additional notice when required.
